POSTDOCTORAL POSITION in the interplay of host tRNA landscapes and virus infections

POSTDOCTORAL POSITION in the interplay of host tRNA landscapes and virus infections

Molecular Virology Group, Barcelona Biomedical Research Park

University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona

The main objective of Molecular Virology Group led by Dr. Juana Díez is to study the complex cell-host interactions that new and emerging viruses exploit for ensuring their multiplication within host cells. Recently, our lab has shown an unprecedented interaction between (+)RNA viruses and the host tRNA epitranscriptome. Our current interests aim to decipher this viral strategy and its exploitation across viral groups and hosts. For this, we combine cutting edge -omic analyses with cellular and molecular approaches. With this purpose we combine biochemistry, cell culture, in vivo and –omic approaches. As an example read our last publication:

Nat Commun. 2022 doi: 10.1038/s41467-022-31835-x.

Our international group is integrated into the Biomedical Research Park of Barcelona (PRBB), one of the largest hubs of biomedical research in southern Europe. For more information visit the websites below:
