One position is open for a technician to join Dr. Carolina Tafalla´s team funded by an ERC Consolidator Grant “Teleost mucosal B1-like lymphocytes at the crossroad of tolerance and immunity” at the Animal health Research Center in Valdeolmos (Madrid, Spain). The contract will have a duration of 4 years starting sometime between September 2017 and January 2018.

Candidates must have experience in animal handling (mice and/or fish). Experience in immunological and molecular biology techniques will be highly valuable.

Positive-strand RNA viruses include major human pathogens such as the hepatitis C virus and the emerging Dengue virus Chikungunya virus and Zika virus. The main objective of our group is to study the complex cell-host interactions and regulatory mechanisms that these viruses exploit for ensuring their multiplication within host cells. With this purpose we combine biochemistry, cell culture, in vivo and –omic approaches.
