A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Jaquelin Dudley at the University of Texas at Austin. UT Austin is part of a vibrant and rapidly growing Austin community that embraces diversity and with the potential for interdisciplinary collaborations. Dr. Dudley’s laboratory is focused on the pathogenesis of retroviruses using mouse models. Ongoing research involves studies of innate immune responses to retroviral infection, particularly the role of AID and the Apobec family of cytidine deaminases. New funding is available to understand regulation of translation after cellular introduction of retroviral nucleic acids. A long-term goal is to develop better retroviral vectors for treatment of human diseases, including cancer. For more information, please contact Dr. Dudley (firstname.lastname@example.org).
