Positive-strand RNA viruses include major human pathogens such as the hepatitis C virus and the emerging Dengue virus Chikungunya virus and Zika virus. The main objective of our group is to study the complex cell-host interactions and regulatory mechanisms that these viruses exploit for ensuring their multiplication within host cells. With this purpose we combine biochemistry, cell culture, in vivo and –omic approaches.

The selected candidate will integrate into the International PhD Program in Biomedicine of the Department of Experimental and Health Sciences (Mention of Excellence).
Candidates are required:(i) to have completed graduate studies related to Biology, Biotechnology or biochemistry and a master (M.S.) and (ii) to be a European citizen or to have the NIE card (residence card)
